Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
